Merry, Merry, Merry!

Another week and another Christmas card!
This one is made using Old Olive card, Very Vanilla card and
Satin Ribbon, one of the papers from the Christmas Jingles pack
and the new Scallop Trim Border punch.
The tiny tag is stamped with - yes - the Tiny Tag stamp set (!!! ) in
Old Olive and Real Red ink, punched out with the Jewelry Tag
and tied with Gold Elastic Chord.
It's all finished off with some Basic Pearls.

And here's the arty farty angle we all love so much!

Hopeful Thoughts

I can't believe it's Friday evening - where has this week gone!
I've only managed one card this week and here it is.
It's a sympathy card for a SU customer whose son
sadly died this week. It's also the first card I've made using
the new stamp set Hopeful Thoughts.
What a lovely set! I've teamed Night of Navy with
Sahara Sand - both card and ink. I just love this colour combo.
I've also used the new Night of Navy Striped Ribbon and the Basic Pearls.
Here is the arty farty angle.

Have a good weekend

Dasher in the Snow II

What a miserable day - cold, wet and windy here in Luddenden!
I've made this card ready for Thursday's craft club.
It is very similar to the one I made with the ladies of Edwick
the week before last. This time I've used Whisper White and Night of Navy
card and ink, Marina Mist card, Dasher and the snowflakes from the Confetti
stamp set and finished off with Organza Ribbon and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

The UPS man has just made a delivery so I'm off to open my goodies!

Just For You Calendar

I can't believe it's 5 days since I last did a posting - sorry!!!
The thing is I can't think why not or what it is that has prevented
me from doing so. Mind you I have at last shifted the ironing pile!!!
Anyway here I am now!!!
On Thursday evening the Oats Royd Mill Craft Club meets officially
for the first time and here is one of the projects we will be making.
I've used Early Expresso and Whisper White card, one of the papers
from DPS Greenhouse Gala, Marina Mist ink and Satin Ribbon,
Oval All stamp set, the Oval, Scallop Oval and Scallop Edge Border punches.
Oh, and of course a small 2011 calendar!

And here is the arty farty angle!

All being well there will be another posting tomorrow

So Many Thanks!

Just returned from lunch with friends in Thirsk - delicious but the
weather on the A1 was dreadful!
Here is a quick card I made last night.
I've used my favourite green - Wild Wasabi, the new So Many Thanks
stamp and paper from the Subtles DSP Patterns Stack. A Basic
Rhinestone Jewel with WhisperWhite 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon
finishes it off!

Here is the arty farty angle!

It's getting very windy now - hope I manage to sleep tonight!

Robin Red Breast!

Happy Saturday!
I've just finished prepping for a card class I am doing on Tuesday
morning with the lovely ladies of Eldwick. Here is a peek preview of one
of the cards we will be making!!!
It is CASED from a swap I received at our training event
in Manchester in September. Thanks Victoria - everyone who has seen
your swap have loved it. Here is my offering!!!

I've used Crumb Cake card and a paper from the Jolly Holiday pack for
the background along with Real Red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.
Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Old Olive card makes up the robin
punched with the XL Two-Step Bird. The window is made using
the XL 1 3/8" Square punch and a stamp from the Hostess Level 1
Silhouette Sentiments set in Crumb Cake ink and edge in Real Red ink..
The robin is finished off with one of the new Basic Pearl Jewels for it's eye!
Another card for Tuesday next time.

Oh Christmas Tree!

Hi hope you all had a great weekend.
Today's post is from last Thursday afternoon when I had 6 neighbours
(and they are good friends too!) round to teach them how to rubber stamp
and make a couple of Christmas cards.
They did very well for first timers - to the extent that we are now
going to meet once a month.
Thanks girls and well done!

The first card we made was this one in Whisper White, Basic Black and
Real Red. We used the Contempo Christmas stamp set with Real Red
5/8" satin ribbon and the 1/8" Basic Black taffita ribbon.
Dimensions were used to mount the trees to the card.

Until next time
Chris xx
