Another 18th card for Ellen!

Got a phone call yesterday asking to make Ellen an 18th birthday
card from her parents! This is what I can up with.

I've used the Level 2 Hostess stamp set from the mini - All For Friends.
I made a mask for the cake and then kept stamping it until it looked as
if it might topple over! Then finished off with the fireworks on top.
I've used Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip card and ink, Whisper White card
and Chocolate Chip satin ribbon.
The "18" is from my stash.
I've coloured in using a blender pen and the two ink pads plus
Summer Sun and Tempting Turquoise. I've also used the large oval
and scallop oval punches.
That's all for now and for the next couple of weeks as we are off
on a grand tour of the country on Thursday.
Happy crafting

Bird on a Branch in Blue!

This is a quick card I've just made for a friend (male)
who is having tests next week.
I've used one of my favourite stamp sets from the mini catalogue -
Bird on a Branch - on offer at £11.95 until the end of the month.
I've used Night of Navy card, ink and 1/4" ribbon,
Tempting Turquoise card and ink and Whisper White card.
I got the shadow effect with the "Thinking of You" by stamping in
Tempting Turquoise first and then moving the stamp slightly to
the left and above using Night of Navy.
That's all for now - enjoy the rest of the weekend

Ellen's 18th!

I can't believe that Pete's grandaughter will be 18 next month!!!
The card for her is made using Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Rose Red card,
Old Olive DS paper and ink and Rose Red ink, and Old Olive satin
ribbon with a clear rhinestone brad.
Cheers to You is the stamp set used. A blender pen and the ink pads
were used to colour in. The "18" is from my stash.

I think I'll use a different colour scheme next time!

That's all for now

Cheers with a Cupcake!

Hi! Hope everyone's had a great weekend.
Decided to have a quiet afternoon today so made these 2 cards.
Both use Rose Red and Old Olive card, ink and designer papers.
I've recently bought the Cheers and Cupcake Stamp Around wheels and
decided it was time I used them. I've team these up with the Cheers to You and
Crazy for Cupcakes stamp sets.

The coloured in bits are done using a blender pen and the ink pads.
I've used the 1 3/8" circle and scallop circle punches on the Cheers card . . .

. . . and the large oval, scallop oval and scallop edge punches on the Cupcake card.

This card is finished off with Old Olive satin ribbon.

That's all for now

Pretty in . . . and a Passion for . . . PINK!

The memory is going!!!
We've had Pete's grandaughter staying with us for the last 3 days.
When I arrived home after taking her to the station this afternoon I looked
in the diary and realised I'd forgotten that it was a neighbour's
birthday tomorrow. So here is the card I quickly made for her!

She likes pink so I used Pink Passion and Orchid Opulence card
(both being discontinued), Elegant Eggplant and Pretty in Pink ink,
Elegant Eggplant ribbon and a clear rhinestone brad.
I've used Pocket Silhouettes and Flight of the Butterfly stamp sets.
The large butterfly is stamped using the two-step technique and the
trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig.
This is the card from an arty-farty angle!!!
That's all for now

Happy Birthday Sheila!

I always have to make Sheila's birthday card in plenty of time as
she lives in Spain - although the postal service
is usually very good - delivered within the week!
Here is this year's card.
I've used Rich Razzleberry card, ink and polka dot ribbon,
Old Olive ink and design papers, the Tiny Tags stamp set and
the scallop border and medium jewelry tag punches.
Linen thread and a pearl from the Pretties Kit finish it off.
The Tiny Tag stamp set is on offer this month for £15.16
instead of £18.95 - a fab 20% saving!
That's all for now

Box Bag and Card

Yesterday I held a morning card class with some lovely ladies and Craig
in Eldwick. We made this lovely Box Bag and accompanying card.
The box, design curtesy of my SU Mummy, Julie, is made using the fab
Melon Mambo and Whisper White card, one of the design papers from
the Tea Party pack and Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon.
Garden Greenhouse is the stamp set used with the two-step
stamping technique and Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry ink.
The accompanying card is made using all the above with the addition
of Tiny Tags tied with some Silver Elastic Cord.
Here they both are together.

Thanks again to the Eldwick Craft Group.
