60th Birthday Card and Box

I received a surprise phone call from a friend's mum yesterday
asking me to make her a card for her daughter's 60th birthday
(my friend Mags). I was very flattered and then paniced cos now that
means I've to think of 2 designs for Mags' 60th!!!

This is the card I made inspired by a fellow SU Demonstrator
- Kate from Barnsley - thanks Kate.
I've used Lovely Lilac and Almost Amethyst card, one of the design papers
from the Tea Party pack punch with the eyelet border punch
and Elegant Eggplant 1/4" ribbon.
The flower is made from 5 scallop circles edged with Elegant Eggplant ink.
The leaves are from Something Sweet stamp set and I've used
the Tiny Tags stamp set and punch - tied with linen thread.
I've used the 1 3/8" circle and scallop circle punches for the "60".
I made a box to put it in using Lovely Lilac card and the same design paper.
The ribbon is fastened with a clear rhinestone brad.

And here is the card and box.

That's all for now.

Studio Sketches and Oval All

Hi, sorry I haven't posted for a few days - no excuse!
Yesterday I was playing with Studio Sketches, the Level I Hostess set
from the mini and came up with these 3 cards - one is already
earmarked for a friends birthday later this month.
I've teamed the stamp set with a favourite of mine - Oval All.

The dotty background is achieved using the Sandy Speckles
Stampin' Around wheel.

I've used the following colour combinations:
Ballet Blue and Sage Shadow
Eggplant and Almost Amethyst
Tempting Turquoise and So Saffron

That's all for now

A Wonderful Craft Day

Hi!
On Saturday I fulfilled every crafters dream - a whole 6 hours of crafting!!!
Julie, my Stampin' Up! "mummy" held a Craft Day and I went along
to support her and indulge my crafting addiction.
In the morning we made this lovely desktop card set which consisted of this
card tray ............

We received a wonderful goodie bag of products to use to make all our projects.
It contained - Sweet Pea Stitched Felts, Filigree Brads, Old Olive Satin Ribbon
and Old Olive and Rose Red Design Papers.
Sheets of card were in Rose Red, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie
and Whisper White.
Here are all the iems that I made for this first project.

We mainly used the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set.
That's all for now. I'll be back later with the afternoon's project.

Cupcakes, a beer and a wet Monday!

I decided to have a card-making morning as it was wet outside.
The first 2 birthday cards I made were using the Crazy for Cupcakes
stamp set - first time I'd used it!
Both are made using Night of Navy ink and card and Whisper White card.
The papers are from the Hostess Level 1 set of Design Papers.
The cherry is from the On a Pedestal stamp set and coloured in
using Rose Red ink and a blender pen.

The third birthday card is for my nephew.
I've used Soft Suede card, ink and polka dot ribbon
and Whisper White card. The punched tags are stamped with the
Cheers to You set and tiedto the ribbon with linen thread.
The paper is from To the Nines speciality design pack.

That's all for now.
Hope the weather improves!

"Just For You" swop

Yesterday I had a fab training day with Julie, my up-liner.
I met four lovely ladies who are also in her team.
One of the many things we did during the day was a card swop.
Here is the tag card I made to swop.
I've used Summer Sun and Old Olive (again!).
The flowers are from the Greenhouse Garden set and I've used the
It's Beautiful Stampin' Around wheel on the tag and the pouch.
Just for You is from the Ovals All set and the tiny hello tag is from
the Tiny Tags set. I've also used the round oval, scalloped oval and
medium jewelry tag punches. It was all finished off with a paper from
the Old Olive set and Old Olive satin ribbon.

I will show you the swops I received from everyone else next time.
